I've been getting saffron corms from She's Rooted Home since they began offering them -every year I make my home garden bed larger. It's so easy to pre-order, the corms always arrive when scheduled, the info/instructions are easy to follow, it's so satisfying to see the flowers grow, and relaxing to harvest the saffron. Doing this has been the most interesting and exciting thing I've done in our garden - ever! Thank you.

This our third year ordering and growing Tara’s bulbs. In 2024 I trialed these bulbs against another vendor and made a decision to go forward with She’s Rooted Home. In both CA and MT we harvested in 2025( used medicinally for the family), planning to increase our bulb order for the 2026 season, repeating plantings in both CA and MT. The reproductive increase of our bulbs has been excellent and we appreciate Tara’s quality!

For three years I've been buying corms from Tara. Last year our family tested a planting in Montana and California. We had a tiny but lovely harvest. When I lifted the bulbs in CA (planted in containers) this spring (March) I found they had tripled! That's a great investment.
So, to celebrate the completion of my 2025 taxes, I just ordered for the 2026 season (100 bulbs) for planting in Montana. I am Saffron happy!

Had a great first experience growing your Saffron corms. They were easy to grow as well as beautiful to look at. Was exciting to go out every morning to see which ones were ready to harvest. Made Saffron rice. Planning on adding more corms this year for a bigger harvest.

bought these last fall and had no idea!!! They came up quickly and yes, I harvested saffron, used it in rice and the plants look beautiful this spring. Can't wait to expand my Saffron experience as the divide and grow. Love your new website, its as beautiful as my crocus flowers!!!

So easy and fun! Planted our first corms indoors in a table garden (with a farm light on a timer and an olla for passive watering. No effort, no fuss.) We harvested lovely flowers in early December. What a cheerful burst of color and flavor! I recommend growing saffron to keep connected to the optimism of a healthy garden in an otherwise dreary time of year. I'm so glad they'll keep coming back.
Also I've pre-ordered a set of corms for a friend whose adult son passed last November. This autumn, she'll have something to offer her a reminder of life when her heart is sad.
Thank you, Tara, for the helpful work you do..

I received my order in the Fall and was so excited to plant and see them grow. I harvested in October/November everything grew like Tara stated. I even used the flowers to make homemade vinegar, it’s amazing! They were the only green in our garden all winter.

First time growing Saffron this last Fall, and it has been a fun gardening adventure! They were surprisingly easy to grow, in a small garden bed. Watching them bloom and their vibrant colors added such beauty to my garden. The best part? I now have bragging rights for the delicious saffron spice I can add to my rice dishes! Knowing that I grew it myself makes it even better.
Looking forward to the next harvest

Planted them on my deck in a planter since it was my first time growing saffron. They are doing wonderfully and this is the second year. They are a no worry, no fussing plant. Love the saffron and so easy to grow and harvest. I highly recommend this product.
